DRIVEN MINDS TO COMPLETE FIRST ‘TRACKWALK & TALK’ OF 2025 AT OULTON PARK

Following the success of it’s pair of “TrackWalk & Talk’s” in 2024 to mark Mental Health Awareness Week at Snetterton and Cadwell Park, motorsport mental health organisation, Driven Minds will host it’s first ‘TrackWalk & Talk’ of 2025 at Oulton Park in partnership with the British GT Championship. The aim is to encourage conversation amongst members of the community and provide a safe space to talk about mental health and it’s challenges should anyone wish to, utilising a side-by-side approach that can be less intrusive and easier to handle than a direct conversation, whilst also allowing people to get outside in the fresh air for an incredibly rare opportunity to walk one of the UK’s finest race circuits.

Driven Minds is a non-profit organisation that promotes awareness of Mental Health within UK motorsport and the automotive industry. Currently working predominantly with the BRSCC, they provide support at circuits for all, including drivers and team staff, photographers, marshals and circuit officials at selected events. The 4.3km walk is set to take place at 1.00pm on Sunday 25th May, with several British GT drivers & teams in attendance, and comes at a difficult time following the tragic BSB incident at the start of the month.

Tickets are available for FREE via our website here and are strictly limited to 100 members of the public. There will be the opportunity to purchase Driven Minds merchandise, with proceeds funding Mental Health First Aid Training for Driven Minds volunteers to increase the support available at tracks as well as our Marshals Mental Health First Aid Training target for 2026.

Oulton Park’s Spring Bank Holiday will be revved up in style thanks to the return of the British GT Championship, with two one hour races set to thrill in the north west. With summer just around the corner, the sight of a packed grid of supercars around the country’s most picturesque racing venue will be one to savour. The two one hour ‘sprints’ on Monday will all but guarantee drama, for British GT at Oulton Park is always a stunning spectacle, with single-seater stars of the future in GB4 adding to the fun, as drivers as young as 15 aim to climb the ladder towards F1. More tin top action will come from the entertaining Ginetta Juniors, plus the powerful beasts of the Ginetta GT and Ginetta GT Academy categories.

Tickets for the main British GT event on Saturday & Monday can be purchased at oultonpark.co.uk
