Driven Minds launches first-ever sim racing fundraiser to power mental health support in Motorsport!

Motorsport and sim racing fans, start your engines! United with Clapham North MOT, Driven Minds is hosting its first-ever virtual endurance race, the Willpower 6-Hour Sim Race, to raise funds for vital mental health support in motorsport paddocks around the UK.

On Sunday 30th March, 2025, this high-octane event will bring racers, fans, and industry supporters together to drive change where it’s needed most. With iRacing as the platform and Apex Racing TV streaming the action, the event will see up to 60 teams compete over six hours, bringing together racers, fans, and motorsport professionals in support of a cause that affects everyone involved in the sport.

With Clapham North MOT as the headline sponsor, all proceeds will go toward mental health first aid training for marshals and Driven Minds volunteers, ensuring those in the fast-paced, high-pressure motorsport world have the support they need.

“Mental resilience is as critical as physical safety” said Clapham North MOT owner George Grant, who holds a longstanding belief that motorsport is as much a mental challenge as a phyiscal one. “We’ve spent decades working in motorsport, and the one thing that’s clear is that pressure doesn’t just exist on the track. It’s in the garages, among the teams, the marshals, and the crews who give everything to keep the sport running. We have systems in place to protect drivers when things go wrong at speed—we need the same level of care when it comes to mental health.”

The six-hour endurance sim race will feature three competitive classes:
– BMW M2CS
– Radical SR8
– Mazda MX-5

The action will be streamed live on Apex Racing TV via YouTube and Facebook, with commentary from Scott Woodwiss and Rob Lewis, plus guest interviews on mental health in motorsport.
